Great glove. Check your size.
First off, I'm a big fan of Mechanix Wear gloves so this review may be a little bias. As far as these gloves go, I'm a really big fan.I'm an oilfield worker and recently, the company we're working for, required these gloves to be worn. We had a variety of gloves to choose from but I went with the Mechanix.According to the Mechanix website, these gloves were designed for work on oil rigs. There are a lot of things I like about the glove... a lot.ProsFirst off, these gloves are real easy to get off and on. The cuff on them extends on to your wrist and it's made of spandex/neoprene type material. There is a velcro strap on it which will allow you to adjust your fit. Rugged but versatile Mechanix gloves
Mechanix ORHD GlovesThese ORHD Safety MPact gloves were designed for use by offshore oil rig operators due to the safety colors (red polyurethane palm inserts and fluorescent yellow patches) and protective qualities. These are probably the toughest Mechanix gloves I have seen. The standard Mechanix gloves lack a lot of the padding and rubber inserts that are found on the ORHD.The ORHD sizing is a bit off. As another reviewer mentioned, the size you buy will be one size larger than what you normally wear. For example, the other reviewer said he typically wears XL but had to order a Large ORHD. I typically can wear Medium (or Large) standard Mechanix gloves, but I ordered a Medium ORHD. The Medium felt a tad too large, so I could have gone with a Small ORHD.These gloves are very stiff at first, but the knuckle protectors aren't as stiff as the Mpact Mechanix gloves. Great Gloves so Far
I have had these for a few weeks now. I have mainly been using them for general house & garage work. They provide a good grip on most materials. They are very comfortable and provide good protection for any of my needs. I have 7 different pairs of Mechanix Gloves. The only issue with these is that your hands will get very warm after just a few minutes working outside. They provide protection but it feels good to take them off and let my hands breath.
