Great Vacuum. Love it!
Just bought this great little vacuum and love it. My pool has never been cleaner! Easy to use, no hoses or backwashing. I was a little worried by some of the reviews that said they don't last long, but I'm going to take care of it and store it out of the sun and hope that it lasts because it's so portable and easy to use. If I have friends coming over and want to do a quick leaf clean-up, my pool is clean in 10 minutes. My kids are lining up now to clean the pool because it's so much fun. For big clean-ups (start of the season), I'll probably still have to haul out the hoses, but for upkeep during the swim season this vac is a winner.

Cleans a 16ft above ground pool with ease
I have had this product for about 3 months and find it to be invaluable for keeping my 16 ft round above ground pool clean. My poll has a solar cover so most of the large stuff is kept out but smaller stuff, bugs and a a handful of leaves find there way in. Plus, as the kids are in and out constantly, grass clippings, sand and soil find there way in.I find it works extremely well. It comes with two sock type filters, course and fine. I always use the fine (which actually sits inside the course one). I guess there is an ultra-fine one that doesn't come with it. I could probably use it as mine will not collect the finest sand/soil grains. After cleaning, the finest grains just float in the water (I'm assuming, you can't actually see them), some of which will find their way in to the pool filter. When the filter is turned off and the pool is not in use for a few hours, the finest grains that remain in the water sink to the floor again. Not a big deal for me, but it...

Excellent product and excellent price
Can't beat the price for this weighted vacuum head. It stays to the bottom of the pool and it is not that difficult to move around. I now get all the stuff off the bottom of the pool. I used to have a vacuum head with brushes and the brushes raised the head high enough that it did not suck up all the debris. FYI - I have an above ground pool.

Pool vacuum head
This item is worth its weight in gold. It is very inexpensive, but does an excellent job vacuuming the desert sand and etc. off a pool bottom. One can't set it and leave it like an expensive robot vacuum. It needs to be pushed around like a rug vacuum, but it is quick and effective. Fits right on the end of the pool pole and the hose plugs into the pool vacuum filter thing. Easy. Easy. Also gave one as a gift.

Nice head
This is a nice vacuum head. The wheels are attached with stainless steel screws, not plastic pins like other heads. The plastic that this head is made from is far superior than the previous heads I've owned.

The AquaQuik hand pumped pool vacuum works well.
My AquaQuik pool vacuum works very well on my little 16 foot "set and go" pool. I wouldn't want to use it on a large pool ( or very deep one) though.The brush attachment works well on accumulated sand and dirt, and the other nozzle works well for pulling out small leaves, plant matter and dead insects from the bottom.Using this little gadget is way more convenient to use than the hose vacuum,there is no set up, just grab it and startpumping!

Doesn't cut it.
I have a small fountain (4x6) in my backyard. I thought this would be perfect after reading the reviews...it's not.Key points -1. the pump is actually pretty hard to pump after about 8 strokes. I'm a healthy strong 220lb guy.2. the filter did pick up stuff but did not pick up silt and left a lot on the floor.3. it takes about 15 strokes to go 6 feet. As the end is only 6" wide you do the math - you'll break a sweat using this thing.4. The worst part - to get the filter out, you have to twist a small wet plastic fitting when you have no grip and it's damn near impossible to get out. I finally did manage to pop it out sufficient to do the instructions "twist lightly"...right. I gave up - too much of a pain with such a tiny filter.Bottom line - I know - I got what I paid for - time to fork out bigger bucks and get something that works.

Great Product!
This is truly a must have product. We have a large inground pool, and it cleans it up quickly and easily. Great for the in between touch ups. I never bought the sand and silt bag because of the price, instead I use a cut down knee high nylon stocking, placed inside the bag it comes with and fold it over the rubber, this method picks up every last bit of sand (we live near the beach).

This works great! I have used much smaller versions for our hot tub. But was told by a friend to try this in our pool. We have a 15' x 30' pool that is surrounded by several trees and this quickly and easily cleans them all ~ both at the top and bottom of the pool. Works OK
It's not like this is a complicated piece of equipment, but it's made the cheapest way possible. The worthless tabs that connect the vacuum to your pole will break after a few uses unless you're very careful. Use a bolt and screw instead so you can aggressively maneuver the vacuum around your pool. Any aggressive movement when using the cheap plastic tabs will result in the vacuum popping off the end of your pole and then you've got to tow it back in using the hose.The hose connection is also extremely poor quality and located in the most inconvenient place possible. You'll never get a perfect connection which results in a spray of water coming out from the hose connection which you must take into account when vacuuming or else you'll end up blowing leaves away from the vacuum. Due to the poor location of the hose connection, if you get a "tight fit" you'll be struggling with this plastic beast trying to remove your hose, scraping your knuckles and never. quite...

I am very happy with the Big Sucker
I have used this for two seasons now and have had none of the problems mentioned by the previous reviewer. It's true that you have to go at a leisurely pace, but that's true when vacuuming, too. Just a fact of life. Before I discovered this item, I had to use either my regular pool vac or a manual pool rake when picking up the early fall leaves, prior to covering the pool. This goes much faster and is easier to use. It doesn't even cost much more than a quality pool rake.

The electronics of the Blaster are in a water tight compartment with a water tight cap that provides access to the charging port.
