Maps displayed on one's PC or Mac (I've tried it on a Mac) are visually compelling, with very high resolution and near-perfect accuracy. There is also an excellent user interface -- you can browse, zoom, rotate or tilt to your heart's content. Even better, these high-resolution maps (unlike anything from other vendors) can be downloaded directly into your Garmin handheld. Solid Risk Fun
What can I say that you don't already know or assume. Well, lets start by saying yes, this is risk with halo characters. There are a few different ways to play the game. The game says 3-5 players, but I have played with only 2 (You do have to make up some special rules). You can play teams, Covenant vs Usnc or teams Covenant vs Usnc vs Flood. Or you can play singles with 5 players. There is a ton to do with this game.Mixed in with the different game types are different rules and game pieces. For example, you can play for achievements, which when unlocked give you bonus powers. (reinforcements, a cannon, extra post reinforcement moves, extra attack dice, extra defend dice, etc) Reinforcement cards are a little different also. Instead of collecting like symbols, you collect skulls which can be turned in, or saved, for up to 30 reinforcements. KEEPS MY SON OFF THE XBOX!

Top notch, full featured compass
First off, I wouldn't take any of the 1-Star reviews for this compass seriously. One of the "1 star reviewers" proposed a test supposedly proving that the circle on circle eclipse system doesn't work. I tried it and have no idea what his point is, as everything checked out fine for me. Other "1-star" reviewers complained of stuff that is easily resolved if you take a little time getting familiar with the 8099. There were also complaints about some petty things; things that should NOT justify a 1-star rating - more later.This compass is intelligently designed and innovative. It is also full featured. The hard plastic casing and rubber boot offer superb protection for the the compass dial and transparent base-plate, which has all of the most commonly needed map scales. The good, the bad and the bubbly
I love compasses. I don't go anywhere without one. In my car, in my backpack, on a plane, If I'm going out...a compasses is going with me.I bought a Brunton 8099 a while back. I wasn't sure I liked the Brunton's circle in circle idea so I was hesitant to buy one. I finally decided to give it a shot and purchased one. After playing with the compass for an hour I decided I really liked it. I love the design of the compass although the rubber base gets in the way of opening up the entire top. But the 8099 has all the features you could want in a compass and then some. I liked it so much that I decided to buy a 2nd one a month later to have one in my camping stuff and one for local use.After having these compasses for a while now, I am very sad to say that I will not recommend it to anyone. Not Worth the Money
I was dissapointed. Quality was poor overall. The cover was supposed to lock in various positions, but just flopped around helplessly. The indicator would only float freely when the base was held off-level. Lanyard interferes with cover action. I went out and bought a $15 cheapo that works better.It does work however and the instructions were OK. I expected a much better quality instrument for the money I paid.

Exquisite colour depth and clairity
Having started with the Original Rider Waite, I needed a deck that easier on my eyes. The Universal Waite does the trick. I get a stronger feeling of awareness, within a 3 diminsion visual per card. I highly recommend this version for anyone just starting out. The clairity and colours of the cards are too good to pass up.This set also comes with a 340 page book called "The Pictorial Key to the Tarot" by Arthur Edward Waite. ISBN#: 0913866083. This book is very nice. I like introduction it gives for each card as well as a picture of the card itself.Lastly, a nice poster of the 10 card Celtic spread is included. This was published by US Games. The poster shows the layout as well as the postion meaning. It also displays the lay down order for each card.I also noted that the black/gold box shown was not what I received. My box was a blue/red combination that I will upload.

I Like the Re-Coloring
I use the Rider-Waite Deck all the time to do my readings, and so I was fascinated with this deck. One reads so many books which describe things in the cards which one cannot see so easily in the Rider-Waite. When I got the deck and went through it, I could see those things - like the river in the Emperor card and the Death card. You can see the water body more clearly in the High Priestess.What I did not like, however, was the fact that the expressions on the faces of the court cards were changed! Case in point - the Queen of Wands.Overall I like the re-coloring done in the cards. They have become more green and lovely.

I got this set for Christmas, several years ago. Unfortunately, I lost the deck while moving out of my college dorm room but I recently bought a new one. As of yet, I have no other decks to compare this to but I think it is well suited for both beginners and experts.The deck itself is sturdy and quite lovely. The artwork is beautiful on the fronts and the backs have a field of gold stars on a navy blue background. The only probem I have is that the cards are quite glossy and tend to stick together during shuffling but that could be because it's a brand new deck. Perhaps it will get better with more use.The book that comes with the deck is interesting but a little boring. I have not been able to get very far into it yet. There seems to be a lot of good information in there, if you're dedicated enough.The deck also comes with a small instruction booklet that fits inside the card box. It contains a list of all the cards and a brief description...

One of the 5 best decks in the world.
This was my first tarot deck, and even though I have over 25 decks today it's still my favourite.Waite's deck is good for both beginners and seasoned readers - it's easy enough to start with, but deep and complex enough for those who dig deep to find more and more meanings in it.I'll give examples to explain what I mean :[1] The Tarot de Marseilles is another excellent and popular deck, but has the drawback of having geometrical pips, which make it hard to read for beginners - unless the reader has a very good memory, she'll have a hard time handling about half the deck.[2] Aleister Crowley's Thoth deck is as popular and good a deck as Waite's, and would certainly reward those who learn all the appropriate associations (e.g. astrology), but for someone who knows that material there's only a small extra penalty in remembering the associations for the Waite deck on account of the missing symbols.[3] The Conolly deck is based on Waite's and is friendly to both...

The standard...and for good reason
As for many others, the Rider Waite deck was my first Tarot deck. It's probably -the- best deck for beginners to cut their teeth on due to its rich symbolism. Even without reading page one of any Tarot book on the market, most any intuitive person can form reasonably accurate interpretations of nearly all these cards. The illustrations are simple, yet powerful, drawing on universal archetypes that guide the reader to the wisdom that already lies in his/her subconscious.It isn't a perfect deck (though I believe the only "perfect" deck would be one that one designed for oneself), but of all the decks I own, it's one of the very few that almost always "speaks" to me. And it speaks to me accurately. I highly recommend this deck for both beginners and experienced readers.

The most beautiful tarot deck I've ever seen
You have to see this tarot deck to truly enjoy it. It's colors are rich and the drawings are very expressive. The meaning of the cards are well expressed in the pictures. Truly one of a kind. Most tarot decks have blaise borders and pale colors. Not this one. Each picture is artfully done. On top of that the picture dominates the entire card, there is no border, so the card really stands out.The only negative is the plain blue with white stars back. With such a beautiful face the backing is somewhat of a dissappointment.

Atmospheric & Nostalgic Art.
I reckon the Morgan-Greer is the best Rider-Waite clone ever published; even surpassing the latter in several respects. For starters, the cards are borderless which imparts a feeling of expansiveness, and of nothing being wasted. (Contrast this with the big, wasteful borders of the New Palladini deck!) Also, its people look like real people: the men are down-to-earth attractive, and the women - buxomly curvaceous. None of that pathetic waifish, pixie-ish, anorexic visages which plague many modern Tarot decks. The pip scenes are also very well done: several of them actually improve on their original Waite-predecessors; and the cards' lack of borders assist in this achievement. Some readers may complain that this deck looks "ugly", but they should re-evaluate it in the right context. not only does the Morgan-Greer capture the epoch of the 70s era succinctly, but also, its color schemes conform to a carefully-thought-out, esoteric plan.
