Great modern bar stools
We bought two sets of the Tendy Bar stools as well as a set of four Tendy chairs, and absolutely love them. They have the tasteful modern look of the Jacobsen Series 7 or the Cherner design, at a fraction of the cost. The natural bent plywood is finished in a clear lacquer with a light gloss that protects it without adding too much shine. The stools are sturdy, and stand up well to our kids climbing on them. Although I suppose I would have preferred a stainless steel finish, the chrome legs are very attractive.The stools were packed two to a box. When compared to the Tendy chairs, there are a few important differences.First, the wooden backs do not extend up as high on the stools as they do on the chairs. When compared side to side, they are around three inches shorter. I'm not sure why they designed them this way, unless it was done so that they would fit in a smaller box to reduce shipping costs.
