Great Hammerdrill
I definitely like this hammer drill, i just bought it and on my first trials at the house you can feel the power. The only thing that i did not like it is that is quite heavy so for minor activities you might need a lighter drill or buy another one

Works well
It's hard for me to build a loyalty to a particular brand of power tool. I've had most brands and have had good and bad. My last hammer drill was a Milwaukee. One day it just stopped cold while drilling a hole. Customer service stopped just short of laughing at me when I asked for help. I didn't want anything for free, I just wanted advice on getting it fixed. Well they lost a customer that day.DeWalt tools have never given me a problem. They just keep working. I've only had this drill a month or so but it mixed up buckets of mortar and drilled 100+ holes in concrete with power to spare. It does get hot if you're using it steady for awhile, but any drill I've had got hot too. I think I'm going to stick with DeWalt for a while.

Had researched hammers for awhile but have always been partial to DeWalt. Didn't really see the need for a cordless and I picked this one out of the other available corded ones as this seems to be the best by looking at the specs. Purchased in Summer of 2010 and it has proven itself in two backyard projects so far. Used it to build a large 6' x 32' raised flower bed out of pressure treated 4x4's. Used a large 1/2" and 3/4" auger for installing rebar and then used it drive home about 100 6" lag screws. Had so much power it was scary. Have an 18v DeWalt impact and literally burned through a battery on only two or three lag screws (holes were predrilled mind you). Have two regular DeWalt 18V drill/drivers but seemed like an aweful lot of wear and tear on them. Also used the hammer mode to intstall some tapcons . Simply amazing. Quality of this product is evident the second you take it out of the box.My dad told me not to buy it because he said I wouldn't get that...
