A very useful tool to understanding your new 5D Mark III
I bought this book yesterday in anticipation of my new 5d Mark III which arrives on Wednesday. I worried that I might be buying a superficial ebook rushed to "print" to take advantage of the fact that there are no other books available..I was pleasantly surprised. Easy to read. Easy to follow. Most important, unlike the Canon manual, when the author goes through the features of the camera he suggests settings choices with good explanations for his choices. He also does a very nice job explaining the complicated focus system for this new camera. Lots of substance to this ebook.==============Since writing this review, I received the camera. I am very thankful I ordered this book. It was detailed and very useful in setting up the camera and understanding its features.

Excellent guide!
This guide is extremely clear and well-written and I recommend it highly. The camera is very different from the 5D II, the 1D series, and other Canon models, particularly in its menus and autofocus system. Understanding the latter is very important in order to get the full benefit from this camera. You can get he basic facts from the camera manual, but this guide goes much further, explaining background issues and providing further information to let the user make intelligent choices from the many the camera offers. And it provides excellent background on issues such as exposure and focus that may be important for people upgrading from lower-end cameras.

Cuts right to the chase
Had the manual but wanted a real world guide that gets me to shooting and beyond reading. Never had the 5D Mark II so began from scratch and this book taught me everything I needed and more.Now I am out shooting and the manual is in the box. Must have for using this camera.
