Excellent product and the lowest price to be found!
First, due to the low price and free shipping, I was able to order new support lifts for the rear hatch AND the front hood for about the same price that I was going to pay at a local parts store for just the rear hatch support lifts! Four for the price of two - hard to beat that!Like the first reviewer, I also installed these on the rear hatch of my 1995 Camaro Z28. They're pretty easy to install (the only tool I used was a small straight slot screw driver) and they work great. In fact, they almost work too well, if there is such a thing. But now the rear hatch comes flying up at a pretty rapid pace and I use one hand to slow it down to a controlled speed. And this is one heavy hatch! When the old lifts bit the dust, it would take both hands to raise the hatch, then hold it up with one hand while rooting around with the free hand. So for these support lifts to raise that heavy hatch is saying something about their strength. Definitely a good product and highly...

The perfect replacement
As described these will replace your stock hatch lift supports. The price listed is for one support not a pair. Directions for replacement on the package were difficult to understand since there were no words to accompany the diagrams but I have a which explained it with words.What would have been nice to know beforehand is that if you're buying these to replace the ones on your '95 camaro like I did you will also need a T-47 torx/star driver to unscrew the lift support from the frame of the car. A 1/4 hex allen wrench might do the trick if you don't want to spend the money but you'll risk stripping the screw if it's in there too tight.I didn't have anyone to hold the hatch open while I was doing this. Arrived before estimated delivery day and packaging was terrific. Installation is a little difficult with on person but doable. Works on both fuel and hp. Can actually hear more air entering the engine. Would recommend for any vehicle for more power.

How High-Flow Technology Works How does the K&N 57-3010-1 increase horsepower? By eliminating airflow obstruction in your engine. Restriction of air flow between an air filter and an engine robs even the most powerful engine of horsepower. K&N air intake kits virtually eliminate air path restriction by replacing the standard air filter and the entire air path to the engine. The aerodynamically engineered conduit that makes up the 57-3010-1 drives a massive amount of air into an engine, which translates into power. This conduit begins with an oversized conical high-flow air filter. This larger filter can fit into the engine compartment using factory holes and mounting points because the K&N 57-3010-1 replaces your stock intake tube, and air box. This provides more airflow at lower restriction than a standard filter, limited by the size of the factory air box. The oversize air filter also captures and holds more dirt, increasing the service life before a cleaning is required (up to 100,000 miles). The filter is also isolated from high engine temperature by a heat shield designed to lower the temperature of the air entering the engine, which increases horsepower. The filter is attaches to a rotationally molded tube made from nonmetallic interlaced high density polyethylene (HDPE). This allows for precision shaping of the tube to reduce turbulence and accelerate airflow into the engine. This is why some K&N tubes have unique shapes or indentations that are specifically engineered for each engine configuration. Finally, the tube is connected to the engine with adapters made from high strength materials such as silicon and reinforced nylon and ensures long life. Not bad, not bad at all.
Using this on a 6 cyl. I should have saved my money. But the sound that came from using it was pretty nice. Actually I got about 100 miles out of it before a drunk hit my parked car and totaled it.
