My son got a lot of mileage out of this game
My eight-year old son loves this game! Out of all the games I have bought him, he continually goes back to this one. I have bought him a lot of games inlcuding Lego Harry Potter, Legend of the Guardians, Sonic Unleashed, and Viva Pinata and not to mention all of the Nintendo DS games I got for him. Banjo Kazooie is the best $20 I've spent on him!

Kart racing at it's finest.
Story / Level Design:The racers and stages are all from the Sega universe, not just Sonic's world. It's not an evenly weighted ratio with more Sonic levels available than others. It makes sense since the typical gamer is only really familiar with the blue needle mouse. The tracks are brilliant. The stage designs feel like F-Zero / Wipeout meshed with a high definition coloring book wrapped in familiar surroundings.Controls:The 360's controls are sharp and responsive. The button layout isn't in any way cumbersome or complicated to master.RT = gasLT = driftA = weapon dropDrift through corners to build boost. When airborne, LT again to do tricks.Gameplay:The game engine isn't something completely revolutionary ... it's an updated Mario Kart. Much like the plumber's clones (Crash Team Racing, Diddy Kong Racing, NASCAR Kart Racing, etc), there are power-ups (missiles, stationary bombs, screen...

Love Mario Kart Wii...but Sonic Is Even Better! Here's Why:
Since we got the Wii a year ago, we had Mario Kart from day one and love it! It was probably the premier karting game, so it is nearly impossible to describe this game without comparing the two. I also have not tried the Wii version of the game, but considered buying it.We got an Xbox for Christmas and the trailer for Sonic & SEGA Racing looked pretty fun, but I was torn over getting it for the Wii or Xbox, so I downloaded the demo on Xbox Live and tried it out. My kids loved it, so I decided to get the game for Xbox so that we can race in Hi-Def and play against friends over Xbox Live as well.First of all, the real game is WAY better than the demo! SEGA could have sold more with a better demo, in my opinion. Why is it more fun than Mario Kart Wii? Well, I think the racing action is a little easier on the Xbox controller than the Wii-mote. Additionally, each character has their own unique abilities and "All Star" moves, which are hilarious for some of...

Finally! A Sonic game that's actually good and it's racing to boot!
If you keep up on video games at all, the words: "Sonic all star racing" immediately strike dread, fear, sadness, frustration, or disappointment in your heart. How many Sonic games have promised to bring the blu blur back to his former glory but failed utterly? Racing games in particularly have been hard for Sonic to nail (ironic, isn't it?) with the last two "Sonic Riders" being tolerable but still providing enough frustration and disappointment to be worthwhile entries in the Sonic Hall of Infamy. Apparently, Sonic needs some outside help.Enter Sonic All star racing. Arguably the best kart-racer since Mario Kart Double Dash.-Smooth, precise, controls? Check-Plenty of variety ins racers? Check (with the exception of Big)-awesomely cool, zany race tracks? Check (almost too much so)-crazy cool unique catch up moves? check-local four player mode? check-Easy to learn? check-plenty of depth for masters? check-no insane...

Product Description

In a frantic battle to the checkered flag, Sonic and friends speed around tracks set in medieval castle ramparts, lush rainforests and bustling cities, all taken from the visually rich and varied universes of Sonic and SEGA. Fan favorites such as Dr. Eggman, Tails, AiAi, Amigo and many more will join Sonic in their custom built vehicles, revving their engines and jostling to stay ahead of the pack. Each character will speed around the track in cars, planes, motorbikes, and in Aiai’s case – a banana mobile! Secret short cuts, swift handling and avoiding strategically placed obstacles are certainly the best way to get to the top of the podium. Top to learn more

Banjo Kazooie Characters

The fact that the entire game doesn’t revolve around playing as one character, Banjo-Kazooie lets you play as both bear and bird, which gives yet another layer of depth within the game. Banjo-Kazooie also had a very imaginative game play much different from its video game counterparts.   Both of them play an equal role in helping you advance game play, and being able to be two characters at once is very rare to see in games in this day of age. There are three main reasons this game is both amazing in game play, and stylistically amazing for anyone that views video games as a form of art.   As soon as the opening monologue of the game begins, you immediately can tell the personality of each of the characters and it resonates throughout the rest of the game. Banjo-Kazooie was the very first game I ever owned when I was just a mere five years old. The game follows the unlikely duo of Banjo the bear and Kazooie, his pet bird who lives in his backpack.   As soon as I started playing, I immediately fell in love with the characters, the lands, and especially the game play.   Kazooie can be used to shoot eggs, help Banjo run, be used as a shield, and to fly.   Banjo Kazooie won the award for “Outstanding Achievement in Art/Graphics”, and it is very easy to see why.

Imagine typical Rare graphics all spruced up, imagine a run and gun system that was just plain fun, snipers have nowhere to hide and a back to basics approach using everything that made Goldeneye and Perfect Dark what it is, and add to it. If... Please Rare, bigger worlds, traditional move sets, more jiggies and more quirky characters and everything we loved about Banjo-Kazooie. It has been nearly FOUR years since Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts ‘n Bolts was released for the Xbox 360, and let’s face it, most fans were disappointed. The idea which made Banjo-Kazooie what it is, that bear and bird combo where you had the ability to fly remained, only this time in an airplane. Hopefully come E3 we will hear that familiar sound that the likes of Grant Kirkhope created which makes our cheeks stretch beyond the perimeter of our faces with delight, and a traditional Banjo-Threeie will be unveiled.

Banjo Kazooie for me is an excellent game with more to do within its worlds than Mario 64, but significant flaws with level design and camerawork means Mario 64 remains the king of platformers on the coveted Nintendo 64. Like Banjo, Mario’s worlds are still epic in scope but aren’t as densely packed with stuff to do. Instead they offer more in the way of jumping to point A and jumping to point B. Rare did an unbelievable job with Banjo Kazooie’s graphics. It’s pleases me to say that after finishing the game, Banjo Kazooie is superb, a polished platformer with some serious challenge (OMG the final boss) fantastic graphics and quirky characters. I played the N64 constantly back in the day but 007 and a certain Italian plumber dominated my playtime so naturally the groundbreaking Mario 64 holds a lot of nostalgic value to me. I’m not sure why I never played Banjo Kazooie. For one the camera is very flawed in Banjo Kazooie whereas I’ve never experienced any noticeable frustrations with Mario 64’s. Considering these positives Banjo Kazooie is a better game than Mario 64. Banjo Kazooie received critical appraisal and a fan base deeming it better than Mario 64. Collecting is very addictive in Banjo Kazooie: there’s red feathers that make you fly, gold feathers to make you invulnerable to attack, eggs which act as ammunition and much, much more.

Mumbo has always been a secondary character in Banjo and Kazooie’s adventures, but it is undeniable that without his assistance they would have never been able to bring the evil witch down. Mumbo Jumbo is a shaman witch doctor that assists Banjo and Kazooie in their adventures to stop the evil witch Gruntilda. In Banjo-Kazooie and Grunty’s Revenge, he uses his powers to transform the bear and bird into a variety of different creatures such as a pumpkin, a tank, crocodile and even a bee.
